Everyday Faith Seminar Series
An 8-week discipleship seminar series on faith application

Facilitator: Warwick Alcock, Director of Strategic Operations, Village Schools of the Bible
This seminar series helps Christians with personal, practical faith application at home, church and work. It includes the following elements:

  • Practical ways to build bridges and engage non-Christians.
  • How to mentor, coach and disciple non-believers
  • How to start a Bible study where we live and work.
  • Tough challenges in the real world: how to cope under pressure.
  • Building movements: how the early church spread so fast, and implications for today

Where: St. Luke’s Church, Faribault, MN
When: Tuesdays from 7 – 9 pm, for 8 weeks: from September 19 to November 7, 2017.

Free Basketball Camp

We will be hosting our annual Basketball Camp Tuesday June 6th through Thursday June 8th, from 9:00AM-11:00 AM. It is free and open to all children finishing grades 2-7th. This is our goal at St. Luke’s, is it yours? Come on Sunday mornings at 10:15 AM, so that you “may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:18–19 (NIV)

Last night 4/14/17 St. Luke’s helped pack 25,272 meals at Feed My Starving Children. That is enough to feed 70 Children for 1 year. Why do we do this? “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10.

Lent is the church season that begins Ash Wednesday and continues for the 40 days leading up to Easter. This year at St. Luke’s we will be focusing on the final events during the earthly life of Jesus. On March 1st, March 15th, and March 29th, starting at 5:30 pm we will enjoy a light meal followed a brief devotional in the fellowship hall. Our goal is to enjoy fellowship, while we focus our hearts on our personal journey toward the cross. Wednesday, April 12th, we will travel to Feed My Starving Children in Eagan, MN and take part in a food pack, as a way of giving thanks to God for the meals we have enjoyed.
Join us each Sunday at 10:15 AM when we will take a look at another portion of the story of Jesus in the days leading up to his death and resurrection.
On Good Friday, we will have a reflective service at 6:00 PM in the main sanctuary.
Finally, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with an Easter Breakfast beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by service at 10:15.
