About:
St. Luke’s is an Evangelical, Nondenominational, Christ-Centered, Inter-generational, and Diverse Church. We are over 100 years old and are seeking to draw from that rich heritage to glorify God in the power of the Holy Spirit by making disciples who: exalt His name in worship, evangelize the lost, and encourage one another to love and good works.
Staff:
Pastor Aaron Brockmeier
In 2008 Pastor Aaron and his wife, Noelle, moved to Faribault to serve with St. Luke’s. Aaron has a multi-faceted background (i.e., farming, engineering, and urban ministry). He has spent the last seven years in full-time ministry. Aaron served for two years directing an after-school program in the inner city of Denver and the next three as a co-pastor in an urban church plant. Aaron has a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Leadership from Denver Seminary.
Noelle and Aaron met at a volunteer appreciation put on by the afterschool program they were both serving. Now after six years of marriage, they still enjoy ministry together. The only significant difference is that today Noelle serves behind the scenes a little more as she focuses on their 3 year old daughter, Lauren, and 1 1/2 year old son, Ean.
Jowane serves as the Church Secretary and also plays the piano and organ for Sunday Service. Jowane loves having the opportunity to interact with a variety of individuals at St. Luke’s. She particularly enjoys hearing about all the good things God is doing in people’s lives. Passionate about music, when Jowane is not at church you are likely to find her reading a book on worship or helping others grow in their musical ability by teaching piano lessons.
Beliefs:
- We adhere to the traditional confessions of faith found in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds.
- We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God created the world, redeemed the world through Jesus Christ, and sustains the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of Jesus, his sinless life, his atoning death, his bodily resurrection, and in his future personal return.
- We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that it is inerrant.
- We believe in the necessity of spiritual rebirth through personal faith in Jesus for salvation.
- We believe that our personal faith in Jesus Christ should be expressed in deeds of love and social responsibility.
